Bio
My name is Ginny Floyd. I am starting my 17th year teaching in special education. I recently married Brian Floyd and have two step children, Hannah and Spencer, as well as my own son, Faulk. He attends GHS. We live on a farm near the school. We have chickens, goats and cats. I love children and always knew from a young age I wanted to be a teacher.
EDUCATION:
I graduated from Troy University with a B.S. in Education K-6 Collaborative. I went on to obtain a masters degree in Elementary Education while teaching preschool.
EXPERIENCE:
While obtaining my masters degree I worked one year towards retirement at a preschool teaching 4 year olds at Troy University's daycare. I taught one year in Shelby County in Birmingham AL. then Montgomery for 11 years, and Elba for 3 years. I have always taught special education and mostly K-3.
