My name is Kim Kersey.  I am starting my 7th year teaching.  This is my 2nd full year teaching Special Education.  I am married and have 3 children. I have a son and 2 daughters.  My son is taking online classes to obtain a computer science degree.  My oldest daughter graduated in December from UAB and is currently working on her master's degree.  My youngest daughter is a sophomore at CHHS.   I live in Troy and have lived in and around Troy since 1989.  

Education:

I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences from Western Governors University.  I worked to obtained my Master's Degree in Special Education from Western Governors University and received that in 2020.

Experience:

I started working in secondary science teaching Biology.  I then moved to the middle school level and taught physical and life science.  After obtaining my Master's, I started working in Special Education at Goshen Elementary.
