Bio

I am Tammy T. Jackson a lifelong resident of Goshen, AL. I am married to Joey Jackson and we have a daughter Joelee Jackson and a son Roc Jackson. I enjoy spending time with my family and gardening.

My personal teaching philosophy is very simple.  I believe every child can learn and every student should be given the opportunity to learn.  As an educator, I am obligated to enter my classroom everyday with highest expectations for each and every one of my students.  I must know what to teach as well as what is the best way to deliver my instruction, so my lesson will be effective.  I believe in encouraging students and using motivational strategies to encourage learning.  Implementing motivation in the classroom will help develop a love for learning at a very young age. My classroom promotes, encourages and enhances the learning experience and success of all students.

Classroom management skills are the foundation for a productive learning environment. I am responsible for organizing a well-managed classroom where students can learn in a task orientated environment. All students are capable of learning and my constant goal as a teacher is for students to reach their highest academic potential. Students spend the majority of their time at school, so every aspect of school should be a learning, working and an enjoyable experience.

I view each student as an individual and must honor different leaning styles, abilities and frustrations.  Every child can learn and my instruction should be differentiated to provide an adequate education to all my students.  In my classroom, I employ both whole group and small group instruction and incorporate one on one intervention strategies.  I am there to help my students when help is needed.  Good teachers are open-minded about each student and adjust their teaching styles as needed.  The way I teach my lessons must be flexible day to day to meet the different needs of my students. I want my students to learn and I must provide them with everything they need to succeed and know they can and will learn.

I believe all students are capable of learning, and that the students in my classroom will be given that opportunity. I must be committed to recognizing diversity of learning styles in the classroom. My classroom is like "life" , one big adjustment. I must adjust my teaching styles, my lessons, instruction and schedule everyday to accommodate every student. I want my students to leave my classroom each day with something new they have learned. I must educate, motivate and inspire students to be lifelong learners. All students are capable of learning and it is my job to give them that opportunity.

My philosophy is simple, all students can learn when given the opportunity.
